When First Assembly Calgary approached Somnia to rebuild their website in 2012 they wanted a modern, progressive and mobile friendly website that was simple to use and visually clean. Simplicity and minimalism were as important as providing a powerful tool to share content with their members on a daily or sometimes hourly basis.
Simple design is actually harder to do than complicated, but the minimalist design accomplished through this process is one we are still very proud of. Years later the website is holding up extremely well both visually and technically. The website is a living breathing entity that communicates current information and even broadcasts live video in real time.
The main Calgary website is networked with a series of satellite campuses across Calgary and surrounding areas. The website design incorporates live event real time video streaming and is tightly integrated with Community Church Builder a powerful data management system that enables churches to manage volunteers, donations and scheduling.
The church website is fully responsive, meaning it works perfectly on any device, is completely mobile friendly and search engine optimized. First Assembly is able to maintain their own content on a daily basis through online content management tools.
The website has accurately represented First Assembly as a wired up and relevant church in Calgary.
