Project Details
This project arose from the need to take the existing Edmonton Police website and make it mobile friendly. The process involved taking their existing Edmonton website, redesigning the visual layout and creating mobile responsive templates within the existing content management system for the Edmonton Police Service. The previous website was built using HTML tables, and outdated development techniques that limited its accessibility on mobile devices for users of the website in Edmonton and beyond.
All flash was converted to responsive, mobile friendly javascript including maps of Edmonton, and several other functional elements previously developed in animated tools that were also not accessible on mobile devices.
The end result included dozens of newly designed HTML templates, CSS files, on site training and ongoing support for the internal IT team to integrate the new website design into a large enterprise wide 3rd party content management system.
