Somnia was contracted by Service Alberta to develop a website and web application for a public consultation on a new Alberta License Plate.

The project required a robust survey system, which collected over 33,000 responses in several weeks from the general public. The project also involved a Flash game component, with several web based games to engage school children in the process. Kids were able to create their own license plate designs and upload them to the website. The project was delivered on time, on budget and with great reviews from all parties involved. All .NET programming for the survey and underlying MS SQL database infrastructure was done by Somnia. The website responded extremely well to a huge amount of traffic following a press launch by the Service Alberta Minister and heavy media coverage.
