The questions in this section are mostly optional. The more information you provide the better but if you aren't sure just try your best to tell us as much as you can.

Do you have an RFP?
If you have a formal RFP, please skip over this step and explain in the comments section of step 4 and we will contact you right away.

From a high level, explain what you need and how it relates to any previous web assets you may have (be as descriptive as possible, the more info the better!) Describe your typical external user (such as a customer) and how they would interact with your website or web application Describe your typical internal user (such as a staff member) and how they would interact
with your website behind the scenes (i.e. editing text, uploading documents etc) Describe the visual assets available to work with. This would include a logo, print materials,
existing style guides or possibly even mockups made in-house or by a graphic designer.

Needs vs. Wants
In order to give you a realistic idea of the budget and timeline involved, we need to know what the scope of the project is. Every item on this list is a cost driver, some of them substantial. When starting a project, it's tempting to dream up things to add forgetting this will greatly impact budget. Please keep things realistic for now and only check off items that are essential. We can dream up all sorts of crazy ideas with you later, but to provide a realistic starting point it's important we know specific functional requirements.

Budget - one piece of the puzzle
We know that you may have no idea how much a web development project costs, and are looking for a general estimate. Websites are similar to a physical construction project, where budget is the central piece of a complex puzzle. To scope a project we start with your needs provided on the previous steps (the rest of the puzzle), and then fit all of the pieces together. It's only a range, so don't worry! If things come in lower or higher than your expectations we'll explain and can work together to a solution that works.
